Piranesi is a quick, delightful read. The prose is readable and approachable with enough weird touches to enhance the bizarre world that Piranesi, the main character, inhabits. Piranesi lives in a house with a seemingly infinite nubmer of rooms full of statues and often flooded by the ocean. Things get strange and sad as we learn more about Piranesi’s world, and its small population. One of the most enjoyable books I have read this year.
